Presenting over Video Conference

Presenting over Video Conference

Overview

We've witnessed a revolution in virtual communications, and communicating and presenting over platforms like Zoom and Teams is now part of daily life for many of us.

However many of us were thrown into this medium without any support. As a result, it's common to feel some insecurity about whether or not we're 'doing it right'.

A virtual conversation might be a one-on-one meeting, or two rooms of people talking to each other, or one person delivering a webinar to many. You might be able to see at each other clearly, or the audience might only ever see a slide deck.

Common questions are: “I feel like I’m presenting into a void – how do I cope with the stress that adds?”; “How do I keep them engaged?”; “How do I bring them back when they’ve started their own side-conversations?” and often “I know I’m meant to adapt my presentation style to VC – what should I be doing?”

Presenting over Video Conference teaches new and smart techniques to ensure you’re as persuasive over Zoom or Teams as you are in person.

Course Outline

You can run Presenting over Video Conference either over Zoom or at an in-person location using two rooms with a video connection.

As with Presentation Masterclass, the session is one third theory and two thirds practice, with each attendee receiving feedback and individual coaching on their presentation style.

Performances are filmed in the room and over VC, so attendees understand how they appear to their virtual audience. Trainees keep their films for reference.

Additional Information

We run this session in a number of different formats depending on the needs and size of the group. Get in touch to discuss what format would work best for you.
